Yahoo News UK: Two mums and two toddlers take on a Turkey cycling adventure
As seen on Yahoo News UK: Our next adventure has made the news — and this time the passengers are bringing their own snack demands!
My friend Tori Williams and I are heading to Turkey with our toddlers, Skyla and Leo, for 25 days exploring by e-bike. We’re aiming for more than 1,000 km and over 21,000 metres of climbing, with camping equipment, trailers and no fully booked accommodation schedule.
For me, it’s another chapter in adapting after a life-changing cycling accident. Adventure helped me rebuild my life after seven surgeries, and becoming a mum has given me a new reason to find ways to keep exploring.
“Motherhood doesn’t mean adventure has to stop. It just means adventure looks different.”
We’re also raising money for Leukaemia UK in memory of Tori’s mum Wendy, who died aged 39 when Tori was just ten. Now a mum herself, Tori wants Leo to grow up knowing his grandmother’s story and the adventurous spirit she passed on.
It’s lovely to see the story reaching a wider audience. We hope it encourages other families to find their own adventures and helps us spread the fundraising message.
